Humber Freeport – Goole Tax Site
The Humber region was granted Freeport Tax Site Status in 2021, with a portfolio of 600 hectares of land comprising nearly 200 hectares in Goole. The Humber Freeport – Goole Tax site is a large undeveloped site adjacent to the existing Enterprise Zone and benefits from the same excellent transport links.
There are several advantages to being inside a new tax zone. These zones are specifically there to attract new businesses and stimulate new investment into the area. Benefits include accelerated capital allowances, relief from stamp duty and land taxes, relief from business rates and employer’s National Insurance contributions for the first three years of being operational.
The landowner has appointed HBD as their development partner for the promotion of Goole Freeport South to potential investors. They are looking to submit an Outline Planning Application for the site in Spring 2024.
